As a HR Specialist/Recruiter at American Consumer Shows, you will work with a fun and energetic team, passionate about growing our business and providing our clients the highest level of service. What you will do

  • Manage and support HR-related processes, such as employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits
  • Recruitment by identifying relevant candidates, connecting them with the hiring manager, interviewing them, conducting reference checks, issuing offers, and onboarding them efficiently
  • Create and execute onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
  • Prepare and maintain personnel files (physical and digital) for employees and their documents, such as benefits, attendance records, PTO monitoring and show compensation
  • Provide advice on employment legislation and ensure compliance with regard to employment law while maintaining cordial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain and update employee handbook
  • Administer employee benefit programs and payroll administration
  • Support top management in decision-making related to people management as needed, to resolve personnel issues
  • Take appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances

What you will bring

  • At least 5 years of HR generalist experience with a hands-on understanding of state & federal laws as as related to employment practices
  • Demonstrated experience and background in recruiting
  • College Graduate
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Experience delivering and supporting the HR policies, procedures, and programs for the company
