Your Role
You will be the arm of the Business Partner for this facility, managing all local HR activities to support exempt and non-exempt employees. Also, you will implement human resources/business strategies and programs and provides counseling and guidance to support important projects and daily operational concerns. You will establish work priorities to maximize efficiency of the HR department and manage Employee Relations. This is Onsite role and you will report to Area HR ManagerYour Responsibilities
- You will Spend 25% of time on the floor to be visible and interactive to understand work environment and “check the pulse” of the workplace
- You will perform Employee relations counseling
- You will lead the investigation and provide resolution for employee relations problems
- Review and recommend improvements to policies on HR matters
- You will work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on HR matters
- Provide leadership and consulting support to management to support achieving operations goals
- You will work with managers to identify staffing needs and ensure staffing to meet volume projections
- Obtain and retain empowered and motivated workforce
- Manage temporary workforce vendor and ensure terms of contract are met
- Track staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, compensation, promotions.
- You will Use the Kronos system to obtain, store, and analyze important data of Payroll and Benefits Administration
- You will manage activities relating to the administration of payroll and employee benefit programs
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in business discipline, logistics, or human resources
- Minimum of 5 years experience in HR with HR certification
- Knowledge of current employment laws regarding recruiting, workers compensation, affirmative action/equal employment opportunity, wage and hour regulation, benefits
- Experience in team facilitation, development, and grievance handling
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications
