Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to join the Leadership Team to develop and manage strategic workforce planning and talent acquisition that will align with company short-term and long-term goals. The HR Director will be responsible for maintaining appropriate companywide compliance while creating dynamic employee development programs and attracting new talent to ensure we have the right leaders, workforce, and HR policies to support company growth. This person will leverage their current knowledge and experience to evaluate and implement HR standards and tools that provide a consistent strategy and complete compliance posture for the various states where our employees are located. The HR Director will develop resources within the HR function to build a high-performance staff that will operate efficiently and consistently. A successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing long range planning and be a results-oriented leader with a bias for action, using collaboration and communications to create alignment and elevate teamwork across all functions.

Responsibilities

  • Implement an overall HR strategy and develop the people, processes, and tools within the HR organization to support the goals of the business.
  • Develop and execute a strategic workforce plan and a people strategy across all company locations to drive the attraction, development, and retention of our talent.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, talent assessment, talent development, leadership development, diversity, equity and inclusion, and performance management.
  • Partner with leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of their teams and their organizational design.
  • Provide coaching to functional leaders on matters concerning development of their organization to enhance effectiveness and potential.
  • Partner with legal staff as necessary to protect the company and limit risks and liabilities.
  • Evaluate HR Information Systems to align with company needs, goals, and growth.
  • Maintain a full compliance posture throughout all entities, functions, and locations.
  • Evaluate employee benefits packages and employee policies.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the HR function and overall workforce efficiency.
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies, and vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of all aspects of HR with track record of devising and executing company-wide HR policies.
  • 3+ years of managerial experience leading an HR team and partnering with executives.
  • Committed team player, who can adapt to requirements within the team. Able to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Experience and knowledge of HR information systems including Paychex.
  • Experience with design and implementation of HR technology platforms (applicant tracking systems, payroll/HRIS, portal engagement projects, etc.).
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Up to date with the latest HR regulatory requirements within California and nationally.
  • Advanced knowledge in federal and state labor laws EEO, ADA, FMLA, LOA, etc.
  • Bachelors or advanced degree with focus on Human Resources.
