We are currently hiring a HR Coordinator based at our Global Headquarters in Champaign, IL. The HR Coordinator is an HR contact for employees and management across the organization, including international locations.
Responsibilities include performance management, compensation administration, employee relations, employment law interpretation, payroll support, leave management, workers’ compensation, and safety. The HR Coordinator reports to the VP of HR and works in conjunction with the Corporate HR staff in Illinois and California to ensure consistent business practices and service is being provided.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
- Assist HR Department in all functional areas as needed including but not limited to:
- HRIS data entry and report generation (UKG experience a plus)
- Recruiting & Onboarding (Posting Jobs, Screening Candidates, Background and Drug Screens)
- Job Descriptions/Performance Evaluations
- Employee Engagement / Event Coordination and Support
- Updating and Compliance with Policies & Procedures
- Leave Administration
- Workers Compensation Administration
- Payroll and Time & Attendance Administration
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associates or bachelor's degree in HR or related field with 2+ years HR experience
- Experience handling Multi-state and California employment law
- Able to effectively use spreadsheet, word-processing and database software – UKG and PayScale highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization; Able to present him/herself in a professional and courteous manner, serving the needs of all internal and external customers effectively.
- Able to work independently while ensuring that his/her manager is kept informed of the status of HR related issues.
- Good judgment in working with people, maintaining an appropriate balance of representing the company and its policies but also being an advocate for the employees and their well being.
