Human Resources Assistant Job at Hormann LLC
We are looking for an HR Assistant (bilingual highly preferred) to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. The HR Assistant duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our HR Department. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and Union employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
Responsibilities
- Administer labor relations policies and procedures in a union setting
- Handle union grievances
- Assist in the collective bargaining negotiations
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations
- Manage temporary agency assignments
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics and resolve any issues that may arise
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Labor/employee relations experience in a union setting (preferred)
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems and/or ADP will be a plus
- The successful candidate must be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently or collaboratively as a member of a team; above all, must be solutions oriented
- Must exhibit strong leadership skills as well as possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and easily adapt to changing situations
- Speak and communicate well with internal and external customers
