Our client is seeking a career-driven HR professional to support payroll efforts and other areas of HR. This person can be fully remote or work in one of the offices throughout their footprint.
Essential Job Functions:
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Monitors the accurate processing of payroll updates including new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
- Identifies and recommends improvements to payroll processing software, policies, and procedures.
- Supports all internal and external audits related to payroll.
- Assist employees and supervisors with payroll issues, and requests for payroll information.
- Conducts analysis of jobs, base salaries, and incentives to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of pay practices.
- Develops communication plans related to compensation policies, procedures, and practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of payroll administration preferred.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Proficiency in relevant payroll and accounting software: preferably Paylocity.
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Law Firm Experience preferred.:
