We are seeking well qualified candidates for an Administrative Specialist to join our Team. The candidate we seek will have a knack for attention to detail; superior organizational skills and experience working with confidential information. You will be trusted to work independently and challenged to thrive as a member of a Team. The Administrative Services Team is a small family of passionate skilled professionals. We are often the first point of contact for Human Resources and as such, you will hone skills in human resources and administrative services.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:
In this role, you will assist applicants and employees with transactions requiring advanced administrative skills and experience; respond to requests for information, in person, via e-mail, and over the phone; provide and explain department policies, procedures and regulations; maintain office supplies and assists with monitoring budget expenditures. The department receives visits from both applicants and employees for various reasons, as well as a high volume of phone calls. Daily tasks are often interrupted, and the interruptions often become the priority. The successful candidate will need to be flexible to succeed. They play an active role in day to day HR activities requiring integrity, creativity and a willingness to stay abreast of HR initiatives.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of administrative experience supporting multiple staff members in an office setting.


PREFERENCES

The ideal candidate will have administrative support experience for a small or medium staff. The right candidate will be flexible, adaptable, unflappable and organized, able to analyze situations and prioritize workload. To be considered, document on your application your experience working with confidential information, maintaining office supplies, managing a multiline phone system, front desk reception experience and your experience analyzing information and applying knowledge to resolve issues. Experience or training in human resources is preferred, but not required. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, and bilingual ability desired.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: Monday – Friday, 7.5hrs/day. This is a telework eligible position that may revert to in office scheduling as business needs change.

ENTRY SALARY RANGE: $23.67 - $33.51/hr.
