Our client is growing and looking for an HR Leader to join their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Concordia, MO. This role reports directly to the HR Director located in Kansas City, MO, so must be comfortable working independently as the site HR Contact. The HR Manager is responsible for workforce planning, recruiting, employee and leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, and compensation and benefits. The HR Manager will serve in an advisory capacity to the HR Director and other senior leaders on issues and opportunities in the production environment. This person supports a staff of 80+ employees (and growing) in the Concordia manufacturing facility.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Assess the current workforce capabilities, determine future workforce needs and develop a plan to close the gap through talent acquisition, employee development and coaching, and knowledge transfer among employees.
- Develop and deploy talent acquisition and onboarding processes designed to acquire and retain strong talent; this includes preparing job descriptions and determining the optimal recruiting channels for both exempt and non-exempt level employees within the manufacturing facility.
- Develop and implement performance processes and systems including performance planning, feedback, and appraisal.
- Identify training and education needs, develop, and implement plans, programs, and processes to meet those needs and consistently monitor the effectiveness of these programs.
- Assist with developing and implementing Human Resources policies and programs that are compliant with the laws and regulations within each jurisdiction.
- Assist with employee relations issues and find resolutions that are customer focused and balance the needs of the individual employee and the organization.
- Work with the HR Director in an advisory capacity for compensation and benefits
WHAT YOU NEED:
- (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience; ideally in manufacturing environment.
- Associate degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- Experience recruiting all levels of talent
- Must be experienced in using the MS. Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and Power Point.
