This key position will serve as the Talent & Culture Department’s employee recognition coordinator and communications specialist. In this role, you will drive employee engagement, create, and send out communication for T&C, and assist the office with various Human Resource duties including, but not limited to, training, recruitment, safety, benefits, and HR compliance and policies.

The ideal candidate will radiate energy and genuine friendliness. 1-2 years of hospitality experience and bilingual in Spanish preferred. A valid driver's license is required.

JOB DETAILS

Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all employee recognition programs and events, and integrated communication strategies to build employee morale, productivity, retention, and policy compliance.
    • Create, publish, and distribute the bi-weekly newsletter, The Mountain Top. Develop articles that recognize employees and keep them informed of upcoming events. Encourage weekly participation with stories and nominations using current programming to include Superior Service Story.
    • Create and publish content for AppSpace monitors, and update content weekly.
    • Create templates for the team to use for communications, memorandums, policies, etc.
    • Communicate essential information, initiatives, and deadlines to employees in a variety of mediums such as print, digital, eSelfService, email, and text messaging (software). Develop creative ways to engage with the employees and communicate this information.
    • Organize, coordinate, promote, and lead all aspects of the employee recognition programs and events including Peak Performer, Carwashes, Thank You Cards, New Babies, Wedding Gift, Sympathy, Annual Awards Banquet (Mountain Milestones), and other appreciation events.
    • Perform ongoing surveys to obtain employee feedback then enhance and develop new employee recognition programs and events.
    • Facilitate monthly Kudos Crew Committee meeting with a focus on employee programs.
    • Assist the Benefits Manager in coordinating and promoting CPR and Cessation Classes, Blood Drives, Annual Benefits Meetings, and Wellness Programs.
    • Facilitate the annual Travel Reduction Program (TRP) Survey.
    • Assist with the Annual Employee Engagement Survey and action plans from the results.
    • Ensure compliance posters are up to date throughout the property.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Talent & Culture in the development, drafting, publication, and distribution of the employee handbook. Coordinate informational meetings, training sessions, and other communication forums to explain and discuss human resource policies.
    • Assist the Talent & Culture Admin Assistant with administrative duties in the HR Office to include answering phones and assisting guests.
    • Stay abreast of trends, developments, and best practices in employee retention, morale, recognition, productivity, and incentives.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.
