Reports To: Facilities Manager

SUMMARY

Directs housekeeping and maintenance programs to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of the establishment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will inventory and requisition supplies for the Housekeeping Department and ensure that necessary supplies are available to the housekeepers and maintenance

Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping and maintenance staff. Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service.

Directs staff to accomplish the tasks at hand as well as perform general housekeeping duties including training and assisting housekeepers in daily duties.

Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment.

Coordinates painting, pressure washing, minor, repairs throughout the property.

Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.

Will assist the Facilities Manager with the interview and hiring process, discipline and all, Team Member related matters.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be allowed to directly discipline subordinates with the approval of the Facility Manager. The Housekeeping Supervisor will report to the Facilities Manager any violations of rules, acts of insubordination, or other infractions of company policy, at which time the Manager of Facilities may investigate and take action as deemed necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has supervisory responsibilities over Housekeepers and Maintenance Workers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Experience in housekeeping preferred, preferably in a setting where housekeeping activities are being conducted in a public setting.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math knowledge

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to obtain a Gaming License.

Must have good organizational skills and work well with other team members. Must be motivated, results oriented, have a superior eye for quality, completeness and efficiency, and be able to motivate others.

Should be able to adapt well to the casino environment, involving large numbers of people, loud and continuous high noise level.
