The Job:
Do you want to work for a spectacular and expansive community center? If so, come join our fun, motivating team! As the Housekeeping Supervisor you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Facilities to oversee staff and operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. In addition to daily housekeeping tasks, you will provide safety training and maintain accountability to staff, maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. You will help to ensure the sanitation and overall cleanliness of the OFJCC Campus on a daily basis.

The Core Duties:

  • During daily housekeeping and cleaning duties such as trash removal, dusting and moping, regularly inspect and assess physical condition of working area. Communicate all issues to the maintenance department for ongoing repairs.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate with members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities
  • Participate in the recruiting lifecycle for housekeeping staff to include reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, assist with onsite interviews and ensuring a successful onboarding process.
  • Supervise staff during night and weekend shifts. Assist with employee relation issues and communicate issues to Director of Facilities. Assist with Spanish translation as needed.


The Essentials:

  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral)
  • 1-2 years of previous supervisory experience required
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish required
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, leadership and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated progressive growth in the field of housekeeping facility maintenance
  • Ability to identify safety hazards and act accordingly
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Positive, upbeat and personable
  • Skills to coach and train new and existing associates on department standards, guidelines and procedures.
