Arch Amenities Group, the world's leading spa, fitness and leisure firm, is seeking a Housekeeper. The Housekeeper will be responsible for providing an amazing member experience, maintaining the facility and equipment, washing and drying laundry, and folding towels. The Housekeeper is also responsible for engaging and assisting members during their visit, while providing a comfortable environment to workout.

General Functions:

Under the direction of the Facilities Director, Housekeeper Supervisor, the Housekeeper will perform custodial services for all facilities associated with the Skaneateles Community Center.

Responsibilities Functions/Duties/Tasks

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:

• 
  Open and close of the facility when required.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Perform routine building cleaning tasks such as dusting, window washing, emptying trash and keeping the grounds free of debris.
• Perform general floor care and cleaning, including vacuuming sweeping and mopping.
• Perform heavy duty floor care such as scrubbing, stripping or waxing and be able to safely operate cleaning equipment.
• Keep soap and paper dispensers stocked.
• Set up, tear down and clean up after scheduled events such as swim meets, tournaments, classes, parties, etc.
• Cleans restrooms, locker rooms including showers.
• Cleans regularly assigned areas as well other areas as needed.
• Snow removal as needed.
• Complete required training.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Janitorial experience preferred.
• Understanding of safety standards, customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Communicates well with co-workers, members and vendors.

• The employee must be able to move about in a multi-level building throughout the day. This requires ascending and descending up to 4 flights of stairs throughout a work shift.
• Completion of required tasks include significant physical demands including regular dragging, reaching, handling materials and climbing stairs.
• The employee must occasionally move up to 50 pounds and rarely move up to 75 pounds.
• Specific visual acuity to recognize safety hazards and distinguish variations in cleanliness.

Work Environment:

• The work environment is both in and out of doors. When indoors the environment is temperature controlled with normal to moderate noise levels. When working outside the environment is subject to weather extremes, subject to moderate to loud noise levels and subject to insects.
