ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check utilities and clearances.
- Hand Dig to expose utilities.
- Properly maneuver the drill rod throughout soil conditions.
- Accurately bore from one point to another while avoiding underground obstacles.
- Continually adjust the drill while above and below ground.
- Operate pipeline HDD rig and related equipment including pumps, pressure mud pumps and recycling equipment.
- On-site maintenance of technical equipment, necessary record-keeping of plots and drill logs.
- Supervise HDD crew, demonstrate working knowledge of hydraulic engineering and applied mechanical engineering.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Must be willing to travel
- High School Diploma/Equivalent
- Class A CDL required
- Experience operating Vermeers and TTs highly preferred
- Prior experience locating and operating heavy equipment/drilling required
- Knowledge of paperwork completion
- Knowledge of guidelines for clearance and paralleling utilities required
