Homeless Shelter Care Coordinator-Full Time Job at Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown
The Martha & Mary House homeless shelter has an immediate opening for a full-time Care Coordinator with a rotating work schedule of Monday-Friday 11:30pm-8:00am and weekends.
Responsibilities include working as part of an intervention team and independently to coordinate and deliver services to establish stability and plan for re-integration of shelter residents into permanent supportive community housing. Position is a mandated reporter of child and elder abuse.
Candidates must be supportive of the mission of the Catholic church; be able to satisfactorily complete background checks and training applicable to diocesan requirements; possess an Associate degree and two years of practical experience in social services or related field; ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, professionalism, integrity and compassion; have strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to perform in a calm and friendly manner while maintaining professional boundaries.
