Home Visitor- Chisholm Early Learning Center (Rumford)

Home Visitors work with families with young children birth to age three and expectant parents, delivering developmentally appropriate activities by partnering with parents to utilize their teaching and parenting skills within the home environment; monitor children's progress; partner with families to establish a source of continuous, accessible, coordinated health and dental care. Other responsibilities include completing paperwork and reports, and maintaining records and data on individual children. Travel throughout the service areas is required. This position is 40 hours/week, 50 weeks/year. Effective January 31, 2022, the Head Start Program Performance Standards, to which Community Concepts is contractually bound, will be requiring all Head Start staff to comply with its universal masking policy and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical/disability or religious exemption, in which case they must test on at least a weekly basis and have a negative test to remain in the classroom. To Qualify: Must have a minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate's or bachelor's degree program. Must obtain and maintain current CPR/First Aid certifications. A minimum of 2 years home visiting experience is highly recommended.

Other Requirements: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, carry and perform other high energy activities; a valid driver's license; telephone; computer/word-processing skills, preferably Microsoft Office; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team. Must obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. Pre-employment physical, Covid vaccination or employer verified exemption, SBI, DMV, DHHS, Maine Sex Offender Registry, fingerprinting, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment.
