Preferred Private Care is a private duty, non-medical in-home care registry. We provide caregivers who can perform needed personal care and companionship to seniors in their homes. We are seeking a dedicated team player, who is professional and has a strong work ethic.

540 NW University Blvd, Port St Lucie, FL

Responsibilities and Duties:
This is a full-time position 8:00am – 5:00pm, with on-call rotation, and your job responsibilities would include:
  • Coordinate placement of services between clients and caregivers, and maintains schedules accordingly.
  • Ensure that all cases are covered and arrange for substitute/backup coverage as needed.
  • Staff clients with caregivers who they will enjoy working with while improving their lives!
  • Handles/resolves caregiver issues, problems, and scheduling changes.
  • Maintain all documentation in Scheduling Software of caregiver and client discussions and conversations.
  • Secure coverage when call-outs and emergency situations arise.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with other team members.
  • Maintains policies and procedures according to AHCA Regulations and Preferred Private Care policies and procedures.
  • Maintains on-call reporting.

Basic Qualifications & Interests:
  • High School degree or equivalent required, some completed college courses preferred.
  • One year of related home care scheduling experience in a home health care setting.
  • Experience communicating both verbally (on the phone, one-on-one, to groups) and in writing (emails, letters, reports,) to various audiences (clients, families, caregivers, doctors, lawyers, etc).
  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to be successful in a very fast-paced environment. The required extensive client communications require exceptional phone presence and patience.
  • Strong computer skills required and prior experience with a database system desired.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to carry out directions, read and write effectively.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Must be energetic, highly motivated, and able to work in a home health care setting.
  • Capable of working with a diverse workforce and client base as well as various elder care service agencies.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have exceptional planning and problem-solving skills, while thinking outside the box.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to multi-task and have a positive and professional demeanor, while having the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Have knowledge of basic medical terminology.

Experience:
  • Staffing and Scheduling: 1 year (Required).
  • Home Care: 1 year (Preferred).
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software: Preferred.

License:
  • CNA (Preferred)
