As a Home Delivery Driver, you will provide the great H-E-B experience that our Customers know and love by driving an H-E-B delivery van to take orders to wherever they may be. You will be allowed to accept and keep all tips that you earn while completing deliveries. There is no cap on the amount of tips you may earn, and H-E-B will make sure that your hourly rate doesn't fall below $19.00 per hour.

- an impeccable driving record
- advanced customer service skills
What is the work?
Driving / Delivery Operations:
- Gathers appropriate paperwork for deliveries
- Secures product in delivery vehicle / preserves condition of product during pickup and delivery
- Delivers Customer orders to their specified location (e.g., home, office) accurately, safely, and on time
- Unloads Customer orders from delivery vehicle; obtains Customer signature for order; may assist with getting order inside
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicle; reports maintenance problems
What is your background?
- Minimum age 21 (mandatory)
- Have had a driver's license for 3+ years and currently have a valid Class C Texas Driver's License (no CDL required)
- Excellent driving record
- Pass a drug, background, and Motor Vehicle Records check (at time of entry and on a periodic basis)
- No moving violations or preventable accidents in the past 3 (three) years
- No DWI, DUI, or related convictions; no felony convictions
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Do you have what it takes to be a Home Delivery Driver at H-E-B?
- Advanced customer service skills
- Ability to read and follow a road map
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to meet company and regulatory driving record requirements
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
Can you...
- Successfully complete H-E-B's driver training program (required)
- Load / unload delivery vehicles
- Work in varying weather and traffic conditions; work while exposed to hot, wet, cold, and weather conditions
- Regularly lift up to 55 lbs
