Responsibilities


Health Information Service Technician - Per Diem Position

The Health Information Services Technician participates as an integral member of the Health Information Services team by ensuring the quality maintenance of consumer information/medical records, processing transcription, release of information, retrieving and delivery and re-filing of records, chart assembly and deficiency analysis, coordination of and follow-up of incomplete records, processing readmissions, filing loose reports, as per laws, rules and regulations of federal and state licensing agencies, and The Joint Commission standards for quality of consumer care.

This candidate will cover vacations, days off, and assist on busy times coverings all aspects of medical records work.

Qualifications


Education required: High School graduate or graduation from a Health Information Technician (RHIT) program. Open to hiring a current student in the HIT program.

Experience required
: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in health information management department preferred. New HIT graduates and current HIT students are acceptable.
