Heavy & Small Equipment Engineer (Entry Level) Job at Dragados USA, Inc
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Support to the Heavy and Small Equipment Manager on the procurement, acquisition, operation and maintenance of Heavy and Small equipment required to support the project activities during the construction of the different phases of the project:
- Cranes: Hydraulic and Crawler cranes
- Earthworks: Excavator, Wheel Loaders, Bulldozers, Trenchers, etc.
- Piling and Marine Equipment: Vibratory and Diesel Hammers, clamps, Grapples.
- Generators
- Lift Equipment: Man lift, Telehandlers, forklifts.
Tasks Assigned:
- Analysis and study of the capabilities of the equipment required
- Acquisition of the equipment required following the procurement process already implemented by the project.
- Development and implementation of a preventive maintenance plan for each piece of equipment.
- Control of the performance of each piece of equipment acquired
- Control the permits, insurances and certificates required for each piece of equipment
- Manage breakdowns and repairs of the equipment acquired.
- Perform daily reports of the activities performed.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Education: Bachelors in Mechanical or Industrial Engineer preferred
- Minimum 1 years of experience in renting-purchasing equipment, preferable in construction projects in similar conditions.
- Computer skills:
- Microsoft Project
- AutoCAD
- Office: Word, Excel and power point
- Acrobat pro
- Leadership and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of construction operations
- Written and oral communication skills.
