Responsibilities – What You Will Do:

How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!

• Operate equipment such as ride-on sweeper, ride-on scrubber, power washer, vacuum, and handheld blower.
• Use basic tools such as brooms, dustpan, squeegee, pliers, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.
• Assist with troubleshooting of equipment and machines.
• Apply chemical products to greenhouse floors.
• Help with set up/tear down of tables and other items as needed.
• Clean in automated spaces.
• Perform basic computer tasks such as checking email, closing work orders, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements – Who You Are:

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

• You have your High School diploma/GED.
• You have a valid US drivers license.
• You have some basic mechanical aptitude.
• You always pay close attention to detail, and carefully follow standard operating and safety/ergonomics protocols.
• You have excellent communication skills, a high degree of self-motivation, possess a positive attitude and work well independently as well as a team member with minimal supervision.
• You have good basic computer skills including experience with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), and are willing/able to gain competency with internally developed software.
• You are willing and able to stand/sit for long periods of time, lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive work in a warm, humid greenhouse with pollen present year-round.
• You are willing and able to work a day shift schedule including weekends as required, with some opportunity for overtime in order to support business needs.

Preferences – It Would Be Great If You Have:

• Previous experience and/or education in areas such as greenhouse plant care, agronomy, horticulture, gardening, or biology research.
