Title of Position: Grants Manager

Summary: The Grants Manager will have the primary goal of overseeing grant fundraising efforts by targeting new grantors as well as maintaining a portfolio of grants including foundations, corporations, civic groups and other grant opportunities. Coordinate the planning, writing and preparation of grant proposals from research through the submittal and follow up processes. Work with Senior Director of Operations, and the President & CEO to identify potential grants for The Sharing Center.
Responsibilities include:
· Supervise Grant Assistant and any grant interns.
· Implement best practices for seeking grants as part of The Sharing Center’s overall development strategy.
· Prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundations, government entities, civic groups and corporate sources in line with The Sharing Center needs. Additional duties include:
- Perform research on foundations and corporations to identify and evaluate prospects for corporate, foundation and civic group grants.
- Maintain annual grants calendar to include new applications and reporting deadlines.
- Comply with all grant reporting as required. Work with The Sharing Center’s Program, Development and Finance teams to gather information necessary to report to corporate and foundation funders on current grant programs.
- Gather and report grant outcome and evaluation data. Work with The Sharing Center’s Development and Marketing team to prepare success stories, and social media content on awarded grants.
- Maintain current records in Salesforce database, including grant submissions, grant tracking, data maintenance and reports.
- Offer and lead tours of The Sharing Center facility for existing and potential granting organizations as needed.

- Promptly and properly acknowledge and steward grant funds received, including the efficient execution of acknowledgement letters, Memoranda of Understanding and grant contracts.
- Attend technical assistance training as required.
- Attend team and other meetings as required and reports directly to the Senior Director of Operations.
- Assist with other fundraising efforts as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Time Requirements:
The Grants Manager is a full time salaried, exempt position requiring working some nights and weekends.
Qualifications:
- A heart for the ministry of The Sharing Center.
- 2+ years of grant writing experience in a nonprofit organization or foundation.
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff of The Sharing Center.
- Knowledge of the Seminole County, FL businesses, government and nonprofit environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Experience using donor, event and project management systems. Knowledge and experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends when required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, walk, bend, turn, sit, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Bachelor degree required, preferably in a relevant field (social services, nonprofit administration, etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $51,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
