What You’ll Do
New Paradigm For Education (NPFE) seeks a Grant Coordinator to provide leadership, supervision and assistance in the development, interpretation, implementation, evaluation, and overall management of grant funded programs ensuring the availability of grant funding to support the district mission of an excellent education for all children.

Job Requirements_*
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Minimum of 5 years experience in school and/or grant accounting
- Strong conceptual understanding of public education, educator roles and responsibilities, and K-12 funding
- Experience managing local, state and federal grants for K-12 schools and knowledge of the overall system
- Strong communication, management, and organizational skills
- Knowledge/experience using the Michigan Chart of Accounts

Duties & Responsibilities_*
- Manage the grant application process in a manner that meets or exceeds required contractual deliverables and ensures quality control, including pipeline management and reporting, application processing timeliness and quality, and program financials.
- Work with the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) to ensure that the grants align with the needs of the staff and students and then collect, create and follow up on documents and supporting artifacts.
- Write reports as required, including but not limited to time and effort reporting, invoicing, and monthly activity reporting, and program management reviews as requested.
- Assist with the drafting of contracts, memos, proposals, handbooks, website information, advertisements, brochures, forms, and other official documents.
- Respond to questions, concerns, and comments from the Superintendent, Chief Academic Officer (CAO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other network leaders, as well as be proactive in alerting the client to potential contractual or programmatic issues.
- Develop procedures for determining materials and supplies; maintain accurate inventories of items purchased with federal, state and local funds.
- Communicate, collaborate and coordinate with teachers, administrators, families, or community agencies and groups, regarding program questions, suggestions, concerns and/or compliance issues.
- Work in collaboration with CAO and CFO to provide oversight over all grant efforts, including monitoring progress toward completing grant objectives and activities within schools and projects.
- Identify new sources of grant funding, perform grant research, grant program design, grant reporting, and close out reporting.
- Assume responsibility for the filing of all grant applications as well as the timely submission of all grant reports and required documentation.
- Communicate project progress and milestones to staff and others, as required by the grant or requested by the C-Suite team.
- Evaluate processes, identify and recommend process improvements, and work within a collaborative team environment to implement process solutions during program start-up and ongoing delivery
- Inform, interpret and provide to the board, information associated with all grants and grant programs.
- Prepare all reports and application renewals with the assistance of appropriate staff.
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements of various agencies.
- Maintain a directory of funding sources from local, state, and national agencies.
- Assist with locating resources for grant development.
- Assist with the development of grant proposals and budgets.
- Assist with overseeing that grants are received where designated.
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
