What you will do in this role
This position is responsible for the management of a best-in-class global sourcing network for technical grade active ingredients that supports Atticus’ business strategies and provides a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Working cross-functionally, this position owns the implementation of sourcing strategies that produce tangible value through aligning processes, creating visibility and alignment throughout the organization and its supply partners. Functional responsibilities include vendor management, pricing and terms negotiations, contract maintenance (where applicable), product quality management, and supplier performance feedback.
Responsibilities
- Build, develop and manage transactional supplier relationships
- Develop, implement, and manage a pricing and terms management process within the organization.
- Establish and implement the crop year buying plan that can be used to develop a complete sourcing strategy and strengthen supplier relationships.
- Ensure in-season changes in demand are supplied timely while managing working capital and financing requirements.
- Develop historical purchase history and forward-looking forecasts for each of our registered sources. Reconcile the plan versus actuals on an annual basis.
- Oversee product quality. Track nonconformance's, root cause analysis and corrective actions. Provide impact and closure of each incident. Maintain vendor performance scorecards to use in source development.
- Prepare the monthly vendor dashboard and supplier presentations as needed
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, international business, supply chain management, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
- 3+ years procurement sourcing experience, consulting, buyer, and/or analyst experience
- Highly computer literate (in MS Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams/Zoom, etc.)
- Experience with computerized ERP/MRP systems
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proactive communication skills
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively across diverse and cross-functional teams, under critical timelines and while balancing the needs of internal customers
- Intimate with big picture and key details; anticipates barriers and proactively develops solutions to overcome obstacles
- Excellent organization, planning, project management, time management and prioritization skills
