Bolton & Menk has an opening for a GIS Technician in our Burnsville office. We're looking for a motivated problem solver who enjoys collaboration in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you would provide expertise on a wide variety of GIS projects for both internal and external clients. The position will primarily be responsible for assisting our team on municipal data gathering and mapping, data analysis, and map development. As an Esri Business Partner, Bolton & Menk leverages the latest GIS software technology and methods for delivering cutting edge results.

What we are looking for:

• Degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college or university
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS v10.x suite
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
• Experience with Geoprocessing within the ArcGIS environment
• Ability to work within a team atmosphere
• Must possess a valid driver’s license. Regional travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of GIS as it relates to Local Government, Public Works and Civil Engineering
• Knowledge of developing automation within the ArcGIS environment using scripting languages such as Python
• Ability to communicate and promote geospatial solutions amongst others
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D CAD software
• Knowledge of mapping-grade GPS devices
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents
