Gift Shop Assistant Manager Qualifications:

High School Graduate

Must be able to interact with a positive attitude and work well with shop staff, hospital staff and customers

Must be able to supervise and schedule shop staff effectively

Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relationship skills, both verbal and written

Gift Shop Assistant Manager Responsibilities:

Responsible for training volunteers and employees as cashiers

Responsible for scheduling and assigning volunteers and employees

Responsible for keeping an accurate schedule for all shifts

Responsible for assuring that shop is open and adequately staffed during scheduled business hours

Responsible for assuring that all merchandise listed on invoices has been received in a timely manner

Responsible for monthly inventory reports or as requested

Responsible for ongoing training of volunteers and employees on shop procedures and equipment

Responsible for making all scheduled bank deposits and maintaining adequate change for shop

Responsible for accurate weekly sales report

Responsible for other duties as assigned by supervisor

Strives to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills with everyone

Demonstrates ability to handle difficult situations with patients, guests, and physicians

Demonstrates pride in the organization

Strives to work well as a team member

Maintains a professional image

Makes a conscientious effort to help maintain a clean, safe and secure environment

Assumes responsibility for institutional requirements
