Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have successful management abilities in the hospitality industry. The General Manager must be able to prioritize and organize work assignments, while providing clear direction to staff and ascertaining hotel training needs when necessary. It is imperative that the General Manager motivate associates and maintain a cohesive team while specializing in exceptional guest satisfaction. We are seeking a detail-oriented and capable manager who can confidently enforce the excellence of hotel standards, policies and procedures in accordance with G & G Hospitality, as well as become a visible leader in the local community.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel in all aspects.
- Responsible for the selection, coordination and delegation of authority to all managers and department heads employed at the hotel.
- Responsible for hiring, promotional, disciplinary, and termination decisions.
- Responsible for motivating and directing employees and developing employees to full potential.
- Resolves guest related issues in timely, professional manner.
- Responsible for banks, deposits, and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure complete processing of invoices daily by using the A/P process.
- Responsible for monitoring labor costs and property level expenses.
- Inspects rooms and property daily to ensure quality standards for cleanliness and proper maintenance and safety issues.
- Reviews room inventory to maximize room revenue.
- Conducts daily/weekly staff meetings to ensure proper communication between all departments.
- Hold monthly financial review with all department heads to maintain budgeted productivity levels.
- Other duties as assigned by corporate office or as business and demand dictates.
Requirements:
- Position requires college degree in Hospitality Management or business field, or minimum 5 years full-service hotel general management experience.
- Experience working in a leadership capacity managing a minimum of $5M in revenues.
- Food & Beverage, catering experience preferred.
- Hilton, Marriott, and IHG PMS background helpful.
- Proficiency in Revenue Management.
- Experience with property management systems and audits.
- Knowledge of maintenance and technical aspects of hotels.
- Proven ability to manage and direct staff.
- Excellent customer service skills with an enthusiastic, out-going personality and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and MS Outlook.
- Must be able to perform essential job duties/functions not limited to: standing and walking for extended periods of time, sitting, bending, stretching, and lifting of items 10 pounds or more.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and handle a busy hotel environment.
- This position will require working mornings, evenings and weekends as well as holidays. Will require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business needs.
- Salary will be negotiated based on experience.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $92,375.24 per year
