General Manager – Holiday Inn & Suites Stockbridge, GA

The Holiday Inn & Suites of Stockbridge GA is looking for an experienced General Manager (GM) to lead the hotels Property Management functions with great enthusiasm and ethics. The GM will be responsible for financial performance, guest satisfaction, upholding IHG’s quality standards and staff development/coaching. This individual will be responsible for assisting the Sales Manager in building and maintaining strong relationships with current clients while aggressively pursuing new accounts, creating, executing and evaluating marketing efforts, and providing sales assistance on a flexible schedule.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitoring hotel performance using guest satisfaction surveys either via IHG provided guest feedback or online survey sites.
  • Monitoring hotel financial performance through financial reporting and revenue management tools provided by revenue manager and IHG.
  • Responsible for creating a detailed budget
  • Insure that hotel stays within budget and meets or exceeds revenue goals and create effective reporting to clearly show operations goals being met or exceeded.
  • Must have excellent Business to Business skills to assist Sales Manager in maintaining current clients and foster new ones.
  • Achieve and exceed account and revenue goals as established by hotel ownership.
  • Assist with the development and execution of sales quotas
  • Analyze revenue management strategy using such tools as Star Reports, demand analysis and applicable systems with Revenue and Sales Manager.
  • Gather intelligence on competitors to plan strategies and long term goals for Sales Manager and hotel in general.
  • Assist Sales Manager where applicable in negotiating contracts ensuring that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and agreement are completed and documented
  • Establish and maintain a proactive staff management plan to insure employee engagement, motivation, training, and development.
  • Comply with local and state employment labor laws and procedures
  • Maintain and active role in the local community and public affairs.
  • Maintain IHG life safety standards insuring that all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain IHG Quality Assurance standards, passing all QA inspections as conducted by IHG staff.
  • Establish a preventative maintenance program with staff to protect the assets of the company.
  • Perform hotel inspections and implement improvements to build and maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Plan and manage hotel events, including banquets, mixers and workshops
  • Flexibility in teamwork
  • Handle special projects as requested by hotel ownership.
