Coppell, TX
Monday - Friday, daylight hours
Pay: $30-33/HR, based on experience
Medix is hiring a General Maintenance Technician to work for an Engineering company based in Coppell, TX. This position will be responsible for providing general repairs and preventative maintenance to production equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic electrical and plumbing skills with a strong background in an industrial maintenance environment are a plus.
- Ability to use TIG and ARC welding apparatus, and some knowledge of machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, drill press, etc.)
- Ability to identify electrical components, fasteners, pipe fittings, etc., by proper terminology
- Strong communication and math skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ years experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience with liquid filling machines a strong plus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete maintenance work as required by work orders and preventative maintenance routines with emphasis on production related work.
- Knowledge of liquid filling production lines.
- Help with troubleshooting production equipment as needed.
- Knowledgeable in maintenance management software (Red zone) to include generating work orders, spare parts inventory, vendor records, etc.
- Able to locate vendors for specific parts and services as needed throughout each facility
- Any duties assigned at the discretion of his/her supervisor.
