General Laborer - OS Job at Steel Dynamics, Inc.
Overview:
1st Shift ** Sort miscellaneous material to confirm to customer specifications and to upgrade commodities where possible.
Responsibilities:
- Sort scrap to upgrade & remove nonconforming items
- Ensure packages meet customer specifications
- Clean workstation
- Maintain Mobile and Fixed Equipment
- All other duties as assigned
- A clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to stand/work for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more repetitively on a regular basis
- Must be self-motivated team player, anxious and willing to learn new skills
Preferred:
- Basic knowlege of scrap grades
- Ability to operate forklift, skid steer, and/or other heavy machinery
