We're currently seeking a Game Designer with excellent game design fundamentals and free-to-play mobile production experience, and who cares about values centered on process, product, relationships, and people.
The Game Designer will have the following responsibilities:
- Form a deep understanding of our player-base through the analysis of user behavior to thoughtfully conceptualize game loops, live service elements, and monetization and economy opportunities
- Identify and document impactful game feature opportunities in collaboration with production, engineering, marketing, and QA teams
- Write clear and concise game design documents which translate complex mechanics into elegant and easily approachable game features
- Work with data analysts to define user behavior questions and design hypothesis tests with specific and measurable goals that directly and indirectly drive improved retention, engagement and monetization
- Monitor internal analytics dashboards to assess the effectiveness of new and existing features, the health of the existing user base, and the quality of new user cohorts
- Prototype low-fidelity wireframes to communicate new features to visual designers and front-end engineers
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Game Design
- 1+ years of experience in game production
- 1+ years of experience in project management platforms like Asana or Jira.
- Ability to understand, conceptualize, and improve the design of game systems/features/mechanics
- Experience working with UI/UX design and usability. Proficiency in Photoshop, Figma, Balsamiq, or other visual design and wireframing tools
- Experience in communicating cross-functionally with numerous stakeholders
- Love and passion for the art and science of game design. Have a strong understanding of what makes games fun and successful
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with game monetization, economy design, live service design, and/or systems design
- Experience in Unity
- Experience with working in SCRUM/Agile environment
- Subject matter expertise in architecture, interior design, narrative design, and magical realism

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
