About this Group

The Program Management, Quality and Supply Chain team manages our aircraft programs, ensures product quality and manages the worldwide supply chain while ensuring program alignment throughout the organization. By creating consistency across aircraft programs, the team allows Gulfstream to foster efficient and disciplined operations.


Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Management or related field required. Master's Degree preferred. 10 years A/C design, manufacturing or service and support. program management. management.

Position Purpose:

Develops strategic plans, gains required. approvals, organizes and directs company and supplier resources to meet assigned program cost, performance and schedule milestones. Responsibilities include program definition, cost/benefit analysis, obtaining required. approvals, planning, design oversight, schedules, oversight of product/program development, test, certification, licensing/patents, product support, quality, reliability and availability and management of entry into service issues and activities to ensure performance goals are met and the commercial success and customer satisfaction of assigned programs.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  • Develops program strategy, cost/benefit, schedules, and budgets for senior management approval.

  • Ensures program achieves schedule, performance targets/guarantees and customer satisfaction goals.

  • Effectively manages weight to achieve performance & cost targets.

  • Effectively manages budgets and ensures timely invoicing to achieve cost targets and/or desired savings/revenue.

  • Ensures program meets all applicable Government and Civil regulatory requirements.

  • Manages preparation of proposals, cost estimates and negotiation of contract terms and conditions.

  • Manages/administers program configuration control activities and product specifications. .

  • Manages quality, reliability and availability issues to meet or exceed corporate targets/goals.

  • Manages major outsourcing and supplier selection in support of development programs.

  • Manages evaluation, selection and implementation of new engineering/manufacturing technologies.

  • Supports sales/marketing, production and service activities to meet business and customer satisfaction goals.

  • Supports supplier design and program reviews to meet program deliverables, schedules and budgets.

  • Represents Programs and Engineering at customer and industry functions.

  • Supports GAC facility General Managers to meet program, business and customer satisfaction goals.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of A/C Production, Engineering, Quality, Completion, Material, Svc and Support and In-svc operations.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering on commitments and program/project success.

  • Requires very strong and oral, written and presentation skills. Regularly communicates with Gulfstream and supplier sr. management, customers (up to and including A/C owners) and functional management and staff.

A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
