Summary:

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance for the hotel on a daily basis. The Maintenance Technician coordinates and performs routine, preventive, and emergency interior and exterior maintenance and repairs, to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of hotel operations. The Maintenance Technician will also respond to guest repair requests, maintain inventory, and uphold hotel safety standards.

To ensure we are providing the best services to our guests, the position's duties will entail troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in a timely and professional manner. A qualified candidate will have at least one year's experience in hotel maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance work to comply with brand standards for preventive maintenance
• Learn about and become familiar with the operations of the:
• HVAC/ptac systems
• Electrical systems
• Elevators
• Plumbing
• Generator
• Fire suppressant systems, life safety and alarms
• Security systems and alarms
• Energy conservation initiatives
• Evaluate and identify source of any roofing leaks
• Coordinates and performs work with other departments to exceed guests’ experiences
• Coordinates all work performed by outside vendors
• Identifies risks of building systems and notifies general manager

Skills/Experience

• 1 year hotel experience is preferred
• Ability to read floor plans preferred
• Knowledge of local, state and federal codes is preferred
• Must be self-motivated
• Ability to manage multiple complicated projects simultaneously
• Guest service experience preferred
• Attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• Professional written and verbal communication
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 25 lbs.
