Experience a career working with CentralStar Cooperative, the genetic and reproductive leader of artificial insemination (A.I.) in dairy and beef cattle with the fastest-growing Dairy Herd Information (DHI) program in the United States. This position will work closely with dairy-management teams to provide reproductive, genetic, and herd-management consulting for producers and fellow CentralStar team members. The goal is to provide and implement strategic recommendations from dairy-technology and herd-management programs using genetics, analytics, services, and production records in cooperation with Select Sires, CowManager, DHI, and more.

Key responsibilities:
— Conduct analysis of farm records to accurately benchmark reproduction, genetics and mating recommendations, and production statistics. Utilize data to develop progress reports for review with herd owners and the CentralStar Cooperative team.
— Schedule and implement meetings to provide data analysis and strategic recommendations to dairy producers and their farm-management teams, including but not limited to, A.I. specialists, nutritionists, veterinarians, and bankers.
— Recommend and implement reproductive solutions for herds in cooperation with other CentralStar team members
— Proactively market our genetic, service, product, and heat-detection-system portfolio to maximize industry advantages.
— Utilize programs and tools to implement on-farm strategies to optimize the number of replacement females.
— Co-manage integral key accounts with other senior staff members.
— Build relationships with prospective clients and maintain partnerships with current clients within the defined territory.

Qualifications:
— Excellent writing and communication skills;
— Exceptional speaking and discussion skills, including content preparation, dynamic delivery efforts, and the ability to interact with a small audience and answer questions;
— Positive work ethic with a service-orientated attitude;
— Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team structure;
— Polished skills in the overall use of dairy-related technology, including Excel, DairyComp 305, PCDART, heat-detection systems, etc.;
— Ability to adapt and learn new technologies;
— Committed to self-continuing education and staying current on industry trends;
— Strong computer skills required, such as experience with Microsoft office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word);
— Dairy-cattle-genetic and/or reproductive-program background;
— Valid driver’s license; and
— Experience in dairy and/or agricultural sales.

Education/Experience:
— B.S. degree in dairy/animal science, agribusiness, or a related area is preferred.
— Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the dairy-cattle industry is necessary.
