DRCC BIRCH is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a warm, friendly home in which persons being served are given the opportunity to reach their optimal level of independence, enjoy being active within their community.

This is a Full-Time position that has a 40-hour per week work schedule. The scheduled hours are 2p-10p shifts, 5 days a week. Hourly wage is $16.00 per hour. The Direct Support Professional will:

· Develop and maintain relationships with the people served by DRCC that respect their rights and promote their interests

· Protect the health and safety of each person in the program

· Provide services to the people served by implementing Coordinated Service and Support Plans

· Assist clients with personal care including lifting, transferring, bathing, and toileting as needed

· Display personal communication skills

· Perform other programmatic functions

Currently we are looking for the right person who is patient, flexible, energetic, and fun to be around. Duties consist of helping individuals with everyday activities and personal care needs, normal housekeeping tasks, and provide overnight supervision.

No experience is necessary, but certainly preferred. All applicants must:

· Be passionate about improving the lives of others

· Be at least 16 years of age

· Maintain valid driver’s license with no restrictions

· Be able to pass a background check

· One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
