New England Life Care is hiring a full-time Clinical Pharmacist for our Woburn, MA branch. *The Clinical Pharmacist rotates through a shift, is available to participate in holiday coverage and in on-call weekend rotation.

The Clinical Pharmacist in this position is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for NELC patients receiving home infusion therapy._

Educational / Professional Requirements: *

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of pharmacy required.
  • Registered Pharmacist, in good standing, with a valid license.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as dosage calculation, formulation of pharmaceutical preparations and data analysis required.
  • Ability to define problems, collect / analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all customers and at all levels of the NELC organization verbally and in writing required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team required.

Preferred Qualifications: *

  • Doctorate of Pharmacy degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations preferred.
  • Knowledge of JCAHO accreditation process and overall JCAHO standards preferred.
  • Working / practical knowledge of microcomputer systems including patient documentation systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), automated pharmacy systems, and IV Laminar flow Hood preferred.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in the field of intravenous admixing of all types required, with an understanding of stability and compounding preferred.
