Position: Full time Certified Medical Assistant
Hours: 40 hours, 5 x 8 hour day shifts
Facility: Jackson County Jail
Location: Jackson, MI
$500 sign-on bonus
JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you a professional Certified Medical Assistant who desires to work in a unique and challenging environment? Do you have strong communication skills and the ability to work well with patients and department staff? Do you have experience in measuring and recording vital signs, changing dressings, maintaining medical records, and responding to emergency situations in a calm and professional manner? If so, we invite you to apply as a member of our team.
The qualified candidate will provide medical services to the detainee population in a correctional medical environment. You’ll work as part of a team, along with healthcare staff and corrections staff, where communication and cooperation are key to success. Must be certified to pass meds.
