Looking for someone to join our client's team for hybrid work in Juneau or Anchorage, Alaska. Alaska-based IT consulting firm serving government and business customers. We provide software design and development, system integration, business systems analysis, reporting, and project management. Our team includes people with a record of successful projects which have a balance of technical, business, and consulting skills. Our work is primarily project-based, embedded with customer teams to build, or enhance applications, system integration, and user experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform front end software design and development, responsive mobile-enabled

web development, UI/UX design, reactive programming, and support

• Responsible for scoping, requirements, development, testing, and deployment
• Lead and participate in projects of various sizes

Qualifications include:

• B.S. degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent

experience

• 7+ years in software development, UX design, mobile apps

Experience preferred with many of the following technologies:

• JavaScript, React, MVC, HTML5, XML, JQuery
• GraphQL, Pub/Sub, REST API
• Distributed web applications, relational databases
• Web and mobile applications, XML web services
• Data modeling and understanding of underlying databases and structures
• Full-stack development experience is preferred

Other experience and skills:

• Experience in IT projects as contributor, lead front-end developer
• Familiar with determining work estimates, tasks, and project approaches
• Possess strong documentation skills in creating requirements, process flows,

system specifications and documentation

• Demonstrate solid problem-solving, relationship-building, communication, and

coordination skills

• Learn and apply technologies and business processes quickly and effectively
• Assertive and able to collaborate well with users, technical staff, and management
• Work well independently and on teams
• Show initiative in handling multiple assignments
• Results-oriented, flexible, and creative
• Eager to learn, self-starter, and support team outside of current skills
• Initiate, manage, and perform work with limited instruction
• Work flexible or non-standard work hours, when necessary
• Travel in Alaska on a limited basis
