Freelance Designer
Wedding and special events florist seeking experienced freelance designers and design assistants.
Breezy Hill Blooms, LLC is a flower farm and event florist, our farmer-florist business model is very unique. We’re looking for a freelance designer and design assistant(s) for the 2023 season.
Our main season runs March - December, busiest in design during July through December. We have other job openings with their own busy season such as ‘Field Assistant’ ‘Wedding Event Coordinator - Remote’ ‘Farm Market Assistant’ ‘Delivery Driver’
Although this is a freelance position, offering no full-time benefits - this position has the potential to become a full-time or ‘Floral Designer’ promotion if candidates show exceptional performance and experience.
Position Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Floral Design or equivalent educational course/certification
• Work Authorization Paperwork
• Ability to work independently and effectively within time window
• Willingness to learn modern technique and associated floral knowledge
• Ability to duplicate designs from photo reference
• Ability to travel to events (as needed)
• Ability to lift 40lbs as the job demands
• Previous experience with corsages, boutonnières, bouquets and arrangements (preferred)
• Annual and Perennial flower knowledge (preferred)
• Internship status available, working toward a 2-4yr degree in Design/Horticulture/Floriculture or equivalent (preferred)

Job Description(s):

• Able to commute to event if needed
• Assisting in creating floral designs for weddings, funerals, events and traditional sales
• Assistance with setting up weddings, events, and floral installation
• Professional customer service interactions (in-person and virtually)
• 2-5hour working windows as job demands
• Temporary position, Part-Time
• Seeking 10-20 hours per week as job demands
• Starting at $18-20 per hour, depending on availability, performance and experience
