JOB TITLE: Food Service Assistant/Driver
PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Summer Food Service Program
JOB LOCATION: Watertown NY
POSITION GRADE: 2
WORK HOURS PER WEEK: 35 - From 7/13/23 - 8/18/23 (Approximate)
PAY RATE: $14.50 per hour
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Temporary/Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY: The Food Service Assistant/Driver assists the kitchen staff in preparing meals and deliver meals to locations in Watertown and surrounding areas for the Summer Food Services Program.
MINIMUM REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
Required Skills:
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to plan and organize.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of programs and agency related information.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Must be supportive and professional inworking with children and families.
Other REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
- Must have own transportation to the job site.
- Must have valid NYS driver's license free from infractions and be able to safely drive an agency van for the purpose of meal delivery to various sites in the area.
- Employment is contingent pending satisfactory medical exam and TB test, and background clearance at the time of hire.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of the Watertown community will be an asset.
