$23-$26/hr
Job Summary
The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing and directing fleet functions, services and activities. Coordinates personnel, resources, suppliers and communications to meet business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicates with drivers both verbally and in writing to obtain and understand driver’s needs and help implement solutions
- Creates and maintains electronic database for maintenance and inspections of fleet vehicles
- Ensures fleet availability to meet requests by scheduling and forecasting needs
- Monitors and ensures fleet operation is in compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Ensures accurate record keeping for all vehicle related service
- Maintains electronic logs for fleet
- Supports driver planning and delivery execution
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Competencies:
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize work
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Strong sense of responsibility, creativity, self-motivation and ability to work in a team environment
- Provide excellent customer service
Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 years' experience in transportation coordinating activities for 5 or more vehicles required
