Classification: Firefighter/Paramedic - Full Time
This position works on a 24/48 shift rotation, and requires FireTEAM and CPAT testing.This posting is open until filled. Department Information: The Department is a state-of-the-art combination department consisting of Firefighter / EMS positions, a strong roster of volunteer firefighter/emergency medical technicians; and a Fire and Life Safety Division.
McMinnville Fire Department staffs three full-service ambulances and one rescue vehicle with fully qualified Paramedics and Emergency Medical
Technicians. A busy EMS system provides many opportunities for skills development. Fire services encompass an area of 97 square miles from two stations and include the McMinnville Rural Fire Protection District. MRFPD contracts with the city and consists of 90 square miles. The Ambulance Service
Area encompasses 450 square miles and includes McMinnville, five smaller cities, and rural areas.

Vision: Per NFPA 1582 Requirements
Academy Certification: Possession of EMT-Paramedic; NFPA Firefighter I, and
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications; hazardous material and biohazard handling training.
Specific Disqualifiers/Behaviors: Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers: As per State of Oregon DHS and DPSST regulations
Drug Disqualifiers: Per NFPA 1582 Requirements
