Position Summary

The Financial Analyst position reports directly to the Associate Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and is responsible for analyzing the financial statements and predicting the future performance of the company. The position will prepare and maintain metric-driven financial models used to forecast and evaluate Company profitability and perform additional analysis as requested. This position will be based in our corporate office in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting process
  • Prepared rolling quarterly financial projections/forecasts
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
  • Identify opportunities and recommend action based on analysis
  • Create standard and ad-hoc analysis, tools, and Excel dashboards
  • Work with the entire Financial Planning & Analysis Team to formalize processes of data structuring and creating forecast templates
  • Maintain technical knowledge of market conditions and trends
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • BA or BS degree required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field)
  • 5+ years work experience in related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel formulas and functions
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to balance multiple responsibilities and tasks while meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Home Building or Land Development
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
  • High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
  • Familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
  • Commercial Banking experience a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and comfortable interacting with senior management

Physical Demands

  • Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently and frequently moving small objects.
  • Frequently sitting for long periods of time
  • Walking or standing occasionally
  • This position works mostly indoors
