Financial Operations Specialist (Remote) Job at Blue Ridge ESOP Associates
The role of the Financial Operations Specialist will be to ensure data integrity, procedure compliance and record retention in handling plan disbursements. The candidate will be responsible for performing a number of reviews and reconciliations prior to disbursement processing and year-end reporting. The candidate will assist with data remediation to assure accurate reporting and disbursement handling, as well as record retention for service billing.
Essential Functions

- Responsible for managing multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Responsible for timely handling in review and reconciliation of plan disbursement requests and associated accounts.
- Review and analyze file data for consistency and accuracy.
- Record and maintain accurate and detailed reporting of disbursement transaction history.
- Coordinate with various teams to facilitate process definition, reengineering/improvement and analysis of current and future needs - including
b. Collaborate with IT to address procedures and systems issues, errors and improvements as determined or deemed necessary.
c. Collaborate with Finance Department to accurately process client billing for services rendered/transactions processed.
d. Work with Third Party Vendors and other key stakeholders regarding matters of transaction details, processing and handling.
e. Help train and assist teams with key process direction and adherence while promoting a company culture that encourages top performance while maintaining a high morale

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers. The office environment and job duties include work conducted via in-person face-to-face meetings, videoconferencing, telephone, and other interactions on the computer.
Physical Demands
This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
Education and Experience
1. High School Diploma required; Some College/Degree a plus.
2. Tax Reporting/Preparation – such as 1099/1096 and 945 forms preferred.
3. Banking experience preferred.
4. Bookkeeping/Accounting (degree not required) experience preferred.
