Financial Operations Manager Job at Genesis Healthcare
This is a remote position with some travel for meetings within New Mexico. This individual will act as the CFO for the New Mexico Market.

In a defined geographic territory, the Financial Operations Manager provides financial analysis, planning, and support to nursing centers within the market.
Position Highlights
- Reports to Market President
- Research industry best practices to strengthen the nursing centers' financial process through proactive collaboration with nursing home administrators and the market President
- Leverage knowledge and experience to enhance and innovate nursing center financial analysis to position the market for a deep financial understanding and excellent financial outcomes
- Review labor expense for nursing centers within the market to ensure they meet targets based on the centers' needs
- Create operational budgets based on historical trends and information provided by nursing home administrators and the market President.
- Educate nursing center leaders on financial results so as to drive budget achievement and to ensure a full understanding of the use of financial tools and processes to develop, implement and monitor action plans.
- Maintain expert knowledge of skilled nursing center practice standards in Financial Analysis and KPI development to deliver comprehensive recommendations and individualized support
- Automate, prepare, and maintain various monthly financial reports and ensure they are impactful to the recipients of them.
- Monitor governmental changes, both federal and state, that affect the calculation methodology for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rates.

*Bachelor's Degree is required; M.A. or M.B.A. preferred. *At least seven to ten years of experience in healthcare administration, financial accounting or public accounting. *Must have a proven track record in analytical and performance improvement success. *Supervisory experience is required.
