Financial Controller
Interim Delaware, voted Top Workplace by employees for two years running, is hiring a Financial Controller to oversee the Finance department. Interim Delaware is a fast-growing organization with over 300 employees operating within 3 separate entities all concentrated in healthcare and personal care & support. We are seeking an experienced professional to handle general oversight in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position is in our New Castle, Delaware office and is remote 2 days a week.

Job Responsibilities include:
- Manage workflow and oversight of the accounting department
- 6 employees in the department, 2 of which are direct reports including the Senior Billing and Authorizations Manager & Accounting Manager
- Review Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Fiscal Yearend financials prepared by staff, including P&Ls, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, Income Statements, etc.
- Oversee PEO Relationship to ensure staff is properly submitting payroll at appropriate deadlines and managing benefits administration
- Oversee billing and collections while closely monitoring accounts receivable
- Prepare annual review and work with auditors/CPA Firm to ensure the income tax basis reviewed financials are prepared
- Ensure staff is completing GL postings and other QuickBooks journal entries timely and that various accounting reconciliations are completed accurately, including revenue reconciliation, bank reconciliation, credit card reconciliation, etc.
- Coordinate with CPA firm and PEO when necessary to assure timely submission of federal and state tax filings
- Assist in yearly review of healthcare plans and manage and reconcile healthcare premium collections and catastrophic coverage thresholds
- Other financial duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance or Accounting required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Corporate or Public Accounting
- Strong Proficiency in Accounting Software, particularly QuickBooks Online
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong professionalism and reliability required
- Must be able to work independently, while also managing deliverables of direct reports
- Demonstrated record of success
