Days Off: Saturday & Sunday
Shift: 9am - 5pm
Location: Hybrid remote/in office at 515 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA 98104

JOB DEFINITION:
The Financial Analyst plays an important role in analyzing and communicating the present and future financial performance of the organization. The Analyst will provide accurate and data-based information to management to help the organization make well informed decisions. This is achieved through monitoring financial movements, preparing reports to management, forecasting, and informing the budgeting process. The position will also be responsible for overseeing compliance related to procurement.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consolidate and analyze financial data taking into account the organization’s goals and financial standing
- Develop financial models to inform management decisions
- Identify financial trends and recommend actions to management
- Develop forecasts and track actuals against budgets and forecasts
- Identify and correct errors in the financials
- Assist in the creation of the operating and capital budgets
- Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making
- Partner with all levels of the organization to provide ad hoc financial analysis
- Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
- Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about relevant regulations and innovation in the finance field
- Cross-training on procurement compliances tasks to back-up the Procurement Manager as needed
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field
- Two or more years of work experience as a financial analyst
- Advanced knowledge and skills in financial modeling, forecasting and reconciliation
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills; ability to write succinctly, use appropriate graphical displays, and verbally communicate complex financial concepts and meaning behind data
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize projects and take initiative for one’s own work
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Finance or accounting experience in the non-profit field
- Experience working with SAGE/MIP/Abila accounting software
- Comprehensive understanding of non-profit accounting
- Knowledge and understanding of the OMB Uniform Guidance
