FINANCIAL ANALYST Job at Computer Services Incorporated
JOB SUMMARY
Financial Analysts collaborate with department managers to create and maintain the budgets and forecasts to which they are responsible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides year to year analysis for department managers.
- Inputs accurate data into financial models.
- Conducts ad‐hoc reporting as requested or needed by management.
- May support other financial team members with data mining and data entry into specified models.
- Collaborates with department managers and members of the finance team on other financial analysis needs as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PRIMARY RESULTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACHIEVING
- Detailed periodic reports indicating explanations for variances to budget.
- Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Creation of standard and custom‐tailored reports to meet management needs for variance and profitability analysis.
- Maintaining a detailed profitability and margin analysis for multiple lines of business.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Certifications:
Education or job knowledge equivalent to a college or university undergraduate education, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or Economics
Experience:
The minimum amount of relevant work experience required to successfully perform the job is three - seven (3-7) years.

This position requires the use of judgment to plan and perform; general decisions are made to solve a problem or select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
General Supervision. Assignments are both task‐oriented and objective‐oriented. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgement and overall adequacy and accuracy.

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel. This position requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and the basic need to look at a computer screen 8 hours a day.
