- Connected Commerce is focused on achieving the firm's goal of expanding beyond core financial services to deliver unique customer experiences and unmatched value via Lending, Loyalty, Offers & Shopping, Partner Benefits, Payments, Dining and Travel.
CCB Analytics is a dynamic team that directly supports the Consumer & Community Banking and Finance leadership. The team provides financial analyses and perspective to senior management, which support decision-making on high-profile, topical issues. In partnership with CCB Finance and Strategy teams across the businesses ( i.e., Consumer Banking, Wealth Management, Business Banking, Home Lending, Card Services, and Auto) , as well as Investor Relations, on workstreams related to public disclosure associated with CCB's strategy, financial performance and industry trends, including quarterly earnings, Investor Day and industry conferences. The team also serves as a source for competitive intelligence.
Primary Responsibilities
The Associate candidate will be an integral member of the team, collaborating with business partners across CCB Finance and Strategy and supporting a variety of projects/workstreams:
- Quarterly earnings and annual Investor Day - public disclosure, as well as back-up analytics and preparation materials
- Q&A materials for senior management meetings with JPM investors/sell-side analysts
- CCB disclosure (i.e., financials, analytics, market share, leadership rankings) for the annual shareholder letter and proxy
- Competitor analysis of peer disclosures during quarterly earnings and at industry conferences
- Materials for monthly and quarterly CCB leadership team meetings, townhalls and offsites
- Top weekly business insights for the Operating Committee and CCB leadership team
- Ad-hoc analytics, presentations, and supporting materials for senior management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel);
- Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment
- Ability to work across senior levels of the organization
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Exercise sound judgment, professional maturity, and personal integrity and observe the highest degree of confidentiality
- Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written)
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial planning & analysis (FP&A) or corporate finance experience
- Knowledge of Essbase
Candidates must be able to physically work in our New York, NY office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.
