Position Summary


The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the North America Finance team and managing all administrative, financial, legal, regulatory and tax affairs of Heliox North America.

Reporting Line

The Finance Manager reports to the Finance Director in Europe (functionally) and hierarchically to the President Heliox North America and is a member of the North America Leadership Team.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the activities of the Finance team for Heliox North America.
  • Implement accounting & reporting systems, ensure smooth running of day-to-day financial operations within the company (invoicing, a/r management, project/development cost accounting, accounts payable, payroll and other transactions)
  • Supervises all operational tasks of the financial administration; from booking various administrations to compiling and consolidating annual financial statements and taking care of various tax returns. Makes financial analyzes and prepares various reports
  • Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and (statutory) reporting systems. Ensure compliance with (group) accounting policies and regulatory/ tax requirements
  • Prepare budgets, monthly and quarterly management reporting
  • Manage cash collections from (overdue) debtors, plan creditor payments and manage working capital
  • Participate in strategic (market/data) analysis, research, and modeling. Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests
  • Work closely with the Finance Team in Europe and the business team in North America.

Skills and Qualifications

  • You have at least 8-10 years experience as a Finance Manager
  • You have at least 5 years experience of leading and managing a Finance team with multiple direct reports.
  • You are hands-on; able to implement accounting & reporting systems, set up procedures for smooth running of day to day financial operations. Sound project management skills able to meet multiple deadlines under pressure
  • You have good understanding of US GAAP, financial accounting, management accounting, tax accounting and SEC reporting. Experience with Sarbanes Oxley rules and regulations is a pre
  • You have advanced written and verbal communication skills. You have high attention to detail and accuracy
  • You hold professional qualification (CPA) or are in the process of obtaining such qualification
  • You have demonstrated ability with implementing accounting ledgers, reporting systems, excel based programming, proficiency in MS Office & ERP systems. Net Suite experience preferred
  • You have demonstrated ability with working capital management
  • You have business insight and exercise sound judgement in decision making
