Financial Manager II
Position Description
The Financial Manager provides financial support, maintains financial oversight, and makes recommendations on financial issues to their assigned business unit(s) leaders. The Financial Manager acts as the primary financial partner for more complex and/or larger assigned business unit(s) management team.
Position Competencies
Ability to direct a team of financial analysts across multiple business units and/or support staff, aptitude in leading and directing the work of team members, influencing professional growth and development opportunities, addressing performance issues, and identifying, recruiting, developing, assessing and retaining high-performing Finance professionals
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide financial support to business units.
- Maintain financial oversight and make recommendations on financial issues to assigned business unit(s).
- Act as primary financial partner for assigned business unit(s) and be an active participant at team meetings.
- Coordinate and execute the monthly / annual forecast analysis process with assigned business unit(s), including the development of targets and coordination with Division
- Finance Officers and management.
- Partner with assigned business unit (s) on development of their strategic plans, including development of profit and growth improvement ideas and/or expense control ideas, as well as corresponding analysis from a financial perspective.
- Coordinate and execute the review of monthly reporting and results process with assigned business unit(s).
- Provide analytical support and recommendations on key financial issues, including research and explanation of variances to the plan in coordination with assigned business unit(s).
- Provide project financial support and analytics related to financial and other performance metrics to assigned business unit(s).
- Lead and/or present financial analysis and results to business unit(s).
- Provide support to business units on how to apply policy.
- Provide objective viewpoint on financial results for the business unit.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university
- 6 years of experience in a financial works directly with executive leadership
- 6 years of experience designing, creating, and executing complex Excel models with data management
- 5 years of experience working with Hyperion SmartView, HPL, General Ledger, Converge and Interactive Reporting
- 5 years of experience of analytical project management
8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday This position offers a hybrid work model that includes onsite and remote days as determined by the manager.
